This film contains language and sexual content. Robin Williams uses profanity and parental discretion is advised. It is a funny telling of the story for adults but not younger viewers… Parents should watch the movie first to decide if it is appropiate for their children, and trust me, it isn’t!!!!

It has star power, but is not nearly as good as the Muppet version of the same story. There is a nice, liberal message — the lower class can get along without the upper class a whole lot better than the upper class can get along without the lower class. But, I was bored, especially by Robin Williams, who is not nearly as cute as he thinks he is. Also, while I’m not a prude, I was…what…bothered?… I would have prefered full frontal nudity … and we very nearly get that, too, in one scene. Kids won’t notice, but there should be a warning for adults.

Too bad the Muppet The Frog Prince is only on VHS.

To me, Robin Williams always made this episode enjoyable to watch because he is so funny. Teri Garr plays the spoiled princess very well. I’m glad that I now have the DVD version of this in my collection. I now have every episode of Faerie Tale Theatre on DVD that I had on videotape and I am so glad that I do because it gives me a chance to watch my favorite episodes again and again.
